Woodrow Buddy Mott

Woodrow "Buddy" Mott, 79, of Pleasant Valley Rd., Mansfield, husband of Jeanne (Macway) Mott, died Friday July 12, 2002 at the Windham Hospital. He was born Aug. 22, 1922 in Mansfield the son of the late Arthur and Flora (Johnson) Mott. He was a World War 2 Navy veteran and had retired in 1983 as a truck driver, from Federal Paperboard in Versailles. Buddy enjoyed woodworking, furniture making and gardening. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons and daughters in law; David and Sherrill of Chaplin and Larry and Tina of Mansfield, a sister Mabel Yeaw of Enfield, 4 grandchildren; Rebecca, Kelly, Mandy and David Jr., a great granddaughter Krysten and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Chris in 1969. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic , TODAY from 6:00 to 8:00pm. A private graveside service will be held in the New Willimantic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial donations to either the Eagleville Volunteer Fire Dept. 879 Stafford Rd., Storrs, Ct. 06268 or to the Mansfield Volunteer Fire Dept., 999 Storrs Rd., Storrs, Ct. 06268.
