Wilma Eileen Desruisseaux

Wilma Eileen (Bass) Desruisseaux of Carolyn Lane, North Windham, beloved wife of Raymond W. Desruisseaux Sr. , passed away Saturday Dec. 18, 2010 at Windham Hospital surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed. Born on June 1, 1934 in Windham, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Christine (Mathewson) Bass. On January 5, 1952 she was united in marriage to Raymond W. Desruisseaux Sr. at St Mary's Church in Willimantic. Wilma devoted her life to caring for her loved ones and being the glue that held her family together. Surviving is her husband of 58 years Raymond W. Desruisseaux Sr., daughter Wilma Levesque and husband Daryl of India, son Raymond Desruisseaux Jr. of Chaplin, daughter Lynne Sweet and husband Wayne of Coventry, grandson Dale Levesque and wife Rachel of Boynton Beach, Fl., granddaughter Shawna Blake and husband Bill of Norwich, grandson Heath Hawkins and wife Jody of Canterbury, grandson Chayne Hawkins and wife Amanda of Coventry, grandson Rick Desruisseaux of Willington, granddaughter Nicole Desruisseaux of North Branford, grandson Eric Desruisseaux of North Branford and many great grandchildren. Wilma was predeceased by her two brothers Frank R. and Edward J. Bass, her sister Christine E. Bass and her grandson Jeremy Desruisseaux.
