William Zartun

William Zartun, 88, of Storrs, husband of Katherine (Schiess) Zartun, died Thursday June 25, 2009 at Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was the son of the late Peter and Barbara Zartun. William and his wife moved to Storrs in 1985 from Long Island. He was an active member at St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel in Storrs. He was very active in many social groups. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, two daughters, two brothers, two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am Tuesday June 30th at St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel in Storrs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 5 Brookside Drive, P.O. Box 5022 Wallingford, CT 06492.
