William James Russell, 76, of Adams Heights Circle, Lebanon, died Thursday Oct. 18, 2001 at St. Joseph Living Center, Windham. He was born Aug. 12, 1925 in Dallas , Oregon, the son of James and Amy (Kearney) Russell and has resided in Lebanon for 30 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and golf was one of his greatest pleasures. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Mary T. (Johnston) Russell, 2 sons; Gary and his wife Elaine of E. Haddam and Mark of E. Haddam, 4 grandsons; Rex and Chad Russell, Matthew Segal and his wife Helen and Andrew Segal and his wife Kim and 2 sisters; Chelta Cash and her husband Herbert of Winlock, WA. and Fern May and her husband John of The Dalles, Oregon. He was predeceased by a son James and a sister Olive Erby. Family, neighbors and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass at 10:00am Monday at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic, followed by burial in the New Lebanon Cemetery and a fellowship gathering at Uncle D s Log Cabin, Rte. 87.
