William C. Maine

William C. Maine, 92, of Columbia, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham. He was born in Windham Center, the son of the late Florence and Harold Maine. Bill retired to Columbia in 1977. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Willimantic and a member of the Columbia Lions. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lucile B. (Hanna) Maine and his second wife Evalyn (Standish) Maine. He is survived by a daughter, Ginny MacVicar of Simsbury, a son, William A. Maine of Waterford, a brother Henry Maine and his wife Marie of Columbia SC, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held March 18, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Willimantic. Burial will be private in the Windham Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Willimantic, 199 Valley St., Willimantic, CT 06226, the Columbia Lions, P.O.
