William T. Lonergan, Jr., 77, of Storrs, son of Evelyn and William T. Lonergan, Sr., was called home by The Lord on March 17, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Jean B. Lonergan. Bill, born in Providence, R.I., on May 10, 1935, graduated Our Lady of Providence and attended major seminary at the Katholieke Universiteit, Leuven, Belgium. He graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy in 1962. He was a pharmacist at Day-Kimball and Windham hospitals. He loved travel, golf and the Huskies, among many other interests. He also enjoyed attending the annual URI Newport pharmacy conference. Bill loved both his immediate and extended family. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his brother Robert Lonergan and wife Mary, nieces Katie and Betsy; children Peggy Hynes and husband Joe, Susan Rogers and husband John, Anne Humphrey and husband David, John Lonergan, Robert Lonergan and wife Penny, and Patrick Lonergan and wife Allyson. He is also survived by a large and loving family of grandchildren, Sharon, Lisa, Sandy, Annie, Ted, Brendan, Evan, Alexandra, Ryan, Katheryn, Nicole, Emma and Sarah; great-grandchildren Anita, Jordan, Kyarra, Jenna, Stephen, Victoria, Chad and Alicia; and great-great-grandchild Arianna; and those whom he considered special kin: Dan and Janette Harrison and children Jamie and Andrew; Ramesh and Kyeong Malla, and son Arun; Suphot and Jeap Dendoung, and son Than. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel, North Eagleville Rd. in Storrs. There are no calling hours.
