William E. LeDoux, 55, of Mansfield, passed away Aug. 25, 2009 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Bill was born May 12, 1954 in Boston, MA, but was raised in the Panama Canal Zone where he graduated from Cristobal High School in 1972. An Avid swimmer, lifeguard and member of the ROTC, Bill served his country in the US Army following high school. Bill and his wife Althea (Maloon) LeDoux were married August 14, 1981 in Sanford, FL and recently celebrated 28 years of marriage. They have resided in Mansfield since 1983. Bill is survived by his wife Althea, daughter Jessica, sister Betty Kay LeDoux-Morris and her husband Ken of Tarpon Springs, FL; stepmother Kay LeDoux of Deland, FL, mother in law Agnes Maloon of Stafford Springs, sisters and brothers in law Pam and Ken Gray, Roger and Juanita Maloon, Richard and Cathy Maloon, Leland and Carmen Maloon and Fred Maloon; an uncle Roy LeDoux and many cousins. Bill was predeceased by his parents Warren E. and Betty Mae LeDoux. For many years, Bill worked at Consumer Science Corp and Windham Hospital. Bill, Althea and Jessica were members of the Christian Life Assembly in Willimantic. His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday Aug. 28th between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 10:30am followed by a reception at Christian Life Assembly, 143 Windham Rd., Willimantic. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bill's name may be made to Panama Canal Society Inc., 7985 113th St., Suite 334, Seminole, FL 33772.
