William T Kelly Sr

William Thornton Kelly Sr. Korean War veteran, lifelong area resident, husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and neighbor. William T. Kelly Sr. 71, of Willimantic, husband of Helen (Liles) Kelly, died Thursday, September 13, 2001 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was born July 11, 1930 in Troy, NC to the late Charles Kelly and Doris (McCall) Kelly. He graduated form Berkley High School in Aberdeen, NC. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Willimantic. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 daughters, Catherine Ferguson and Mary Kelly, a son, William Kelly Jr., all of Willimantic, son-in-law John T. Ferguson and daughter-in-law, Yvonne Kelly also of Willimantic. William is also survived by a sister, Maxiene K. Harrell of Tarboro, NC and a brother Jerry Kelly of Forrest Hill, MD. Also left to mourn his death are 2 grandsons, Joseph M. Kelly and John T. Ferguson Jr., both of Willimantic, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12 noon at the Calvary Baptist Church, 412 Valley St., Willimantic. Burial will be private. His family will receive friends at the church 1 hour prior to the service. The Potter Funeral Home, Willimantic is in charge of arrangements.
