William "Tony" Charles Kelehear, 62, of Bigelow Rd., Hampton, husband of Marlyn (Vargas) Kelehear, died Monday evening Oct. 18, 2004 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 13, 1942 in Miami, FL., the son of the late Herbert Fulton Kelehear and Hester Jane Combs. Tony had been most recently employed by Wernicki Trucking. He was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army serving two tours of duty in Viet Nam. He enjoyed cooking, hunting and fishing. Tony had a love for traveling and the outdoors. His family was his most important mission in his life. He especially enjoyed being called and being a true Pop Pop. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Cynthia Renee Bailiff and her husband David of Allen, TX., and Shanda Addie Emond of Chaplin; a son and daughter in law, Sean Alfred Emond and Silvia Emond of Wallingford (currently stationed at Ft. Benning, GA.). He is also survived by a grandson Dylan William Harrison of Chaplin, 2 sisters, Patricia Carey and her husband Michael of Branford, FL. and Dixie Hutchinson of FL., several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters in law and many friends. He was predeceased by a sister Margaret Buckner. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9:00am at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Litchfield Cemetery, Hampton.
