William Eugene Ingalls

May 24, 1919 — February 26, 2008

William Eugene Ingalls, 88, of Stafford Springs, husband of the late Katherine Anne (Morris) Ingalls and the late Audell Smith, died Tuesday Feb. 26, 2008 at Parkway Pavilion in Enfield. He was born May 24, 1919 in Hartford the son of Mayo and Helen (Fuss) Ingalls. He had been employed by Kaman Aircraft as an aircraft electrician and then was employed by UTC. Mr. Ingalls was a World War II Army veteran who served in the South Pacific. He was a lifetime member of Gold Star Post #1724 VFW Willimantic and a very active member of A.A. He is survived by three sons, Robert Ingalls and his wife Maria Regina of Jamaica Plain, MA., Jay Ingalls of Efland, NC and Brian Ingalls and his wife Darlene I. Furness of Keaau, Hawaii; a daughter Claudia Psonak and her husband Rick of Brandon, MS, a brother Stanley Kulgoski of Manchester, eight grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one on the way and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Richard and a sister Wanda. His family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Thursday between 6:00 and 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church, 8 Church St., Stafford Springs, with Rev. Joseph Chamberland officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Storrs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 8 Church St., Stafford Springs, CT. 06076.
