William H. Fraser

William H. Fraser, 48, of Columbia, husband of Ellen-Jo (Kowalski) Fraser, died Monday morning Feb. 24, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 2, 1954 in Willimantic the son of George and Jacqulyn (Nelson) Fraser of Willimantic. Bill was a 1972 graduate of Windham High School and a 1976 graduate of UConn. He was employed by Open Solutions in Glastonbury as a senior financial analyst. Previously he had a banking career for over 20 years in Manchester with the Manchester State Bank and New England Bank. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Hebron. Bill was a coach and active member of the CWSA and Columbia Rec. Basketball. He enjoyed golfing, water sports and spending quality time with his family. In addition to his wife and parents Bill is survived by 2 sons; Jonathan and Patrick of Columbia, 3 brothers and sisters in law; Robert and Donna Fraser of Marshfield, MA., Douglas and Linda Fraser of Willimantic and Thomas and Sheryl Fraser of Windham, 11 nieces and nephews; Tracy, Todd, Stefanie, Christopher, Tim, Steven, Courtney, Kevin, Becky, Matt and Andrew and his mother in law Sophie Kowalski of Willimantic. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic TODAY from 5:00 to 8:00pm. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00pm at St. Peter?s Episcopal Church, Rte 85, Hebron, with burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. Please omit flowers. Memorial donations are suggested to the Fraser Children Education Fund, Savings Bank of Manchester, Tri City Plaza, 35 Talcottville Rd., Vernon, Ct. 06066.
