William C. Callahan

William C.J. Crazy Doc Callahan Jr., 58 of Willimantic, died Saturday October 13, 2001 at the Windham Hospital. He was born June 4, 1943 in Willimantic, son of William and Julia (Donahue) Callahan Sr., who owned and operated Callahan s Newsstand in Willimantic many years ago. William proudly served in the U. S. Navy in Vietnam and was most recently employed at Chucky s Country Store in Willimantic. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Elizabeth Callahan. Survivors include Jacqueline Willard of Springfield, MA and several other cousins. A graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick s Cemetery, King St. (Rte. 5) Enfield. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St. East Hartford, CT 06108.
