William A. "Billy" Grylls, 47, passed away Saturday Sept. 1, 2012. He was born Nov. 3, 1964 to Martha (Meikle) Grylls who took wonderful care of Bill for 47 years, and Clinton L. Grylls Sr. He attended local elementary schools and was a Windham High School graduate. He also graduated from St. Joseph College for Exceptional Children. Billy worked at State of Ct. DDS offices in Willimantic, Columbia and Coventry. He retired from Seabird Farm in 2010. Billy was a gold medal swimmer in the Special Olympics for 30 years. He accomplished many goals in his life, the greatest of which was to become president of People Meeting People. He was a very loved and precious person in the eyes of God and his family. In addition to his parents, Billy is survived by his brothers Steve, Tim and Clinton Jr.; his sister Martha Adams and her husband Ken; his special aunt Claire Meikle, special friend Esther Briere and many special nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers Peter and Tommy, nephew Bryan Adams and cousin Randy. There are no calling hours. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday Sept. 8th at 2:00pm at American Legion Post #19, Rte. 14, Windham.
