Wilfred F. Robert, 84, formerly of 47 West Park St. Willimantic, died peacefully on Thursday Nov. 25, 2004 at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, holding the hand of his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary (Monahan) Robert. He was born Feb. 13, 1920 in Springfield, MA. the son of Wilfred and Ida (Davis) Robert. Mr. Robert had been employed at Hamilton Standard for 41 years prior to his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War 2. An avid Boston Red Sox fan for over 60 years, he finally got to see his team win the 2004 World Series and be crowned the world champions. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters and sons in law, Marie and Carl Trahan of Ormond By The Sea, FL. and Dorothy and Paul Kozelka of Mansfield Center; a brother Leo Robert of St. Petersburg, FL.; 4 grandchildren, Julie Scaringella and her husband Michael, Robert Trahan and his wife Kim, Allison Kozelka and Patrick Kozelka; 5 great grandchildren, Jonathan, Madison and Jacob Scaringella and Zachary and John Trahan; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Harry. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30am prior to his 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial donations to The Michael J.
