Wilbert "Bert" Davoll, 82, of North Windham, husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (McGillicuddy) Davoll, died Friday Jan. 20, 2012 at home. He was born July 2, 1929 in Willimantic the son of the late Wilbert and Anna (Seymour) Davoll. Bert was a Korean War veteran. He worked for twenty seven years at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford. He enjoyed camping at Lake Williams Campground in Lebanon where his passion was relaxation and fishing with his grandchildren. His kindness and gentle demeanor were only outweighed by how much he will be missed. In addition to his wife Betty, he is survived by a son Timothy R. Davoll and his wife Jill of East Hampton, a daughter Suzanne McMahon and her husband Craig of N. Windham, two grandchildren, Dylan and Devin McMahon of N. Windham; a brother Ronald of Ocala, FL, several nieces and nephews, a brother in law Michael McGillicuddy and his wife Terri of Canterbury and a sister in law Mary Curtis of Willimantic. His family will receive relatives and friends on Monday Jan. 23rd between 5:00 and 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St., Willimantic with assembly in the church parking lot at 9:45am. Interment will then take place in Mansfield Center Cemetery.
