West Ann "Zesty Westy" Tarricone Obituary
Thank you for coming to honor West. Let's sprinkle a bit of whimsy into West's story:

On April 19, 2024, West Ann Tarricone, 16, of Mansfield Center, CT, decided that her trusty vessel was a bit too bruised and battered for her wild adventures, so she set sail for the stars from Hartford, CT. West is lovingly remembered by her dynamic duo partner and twin brother, Blake Augustino Tarricone, her round-the-clock rockstar mom and COO, Cara Taylor Tarricone, and the family's very own Court Jester, Dr. Diane Tarricone.

Making her grand entrance into the world with a high-spirited kick on November 9, 2007, in Manchester, CT, West wasted no time in showing everyone that she meant business-and fun! From her early days at North Windham Elementary to her time at EO Smith High School Region 19, West was a force of nature. Early school days you would often hear, "Blake, go get her!" they'd say, as she zoomed past, leaving a trail of laughter (and the occasional exasperated teacher) in her wake. She cherished her 1:1 time with Hawkins, keeping her nurses on their toes and her PT/OT squad hustling to keep pace with her zest for life. West's playtime was a mixtape of music, arts, belly laughs, and dancing. As a youngin', she was the ultimate prankster with her Nurses at NWS and her trusty sidekick Hawkins. Whether she was ziplining, making a splash, or pedaling with purpose, West was all about embracing the joyride of life.

When West joined the ranks at Eastern Connecticut State University with Team Impact, she took to the soccer field like a comet, dazzling all until a pesky thing called COVID put a pause on her athletic escapades. Undeterred, West transformed her living room into a classroom, reshaping the minds of educators and healthcare pros with her innovative spirit. She even championed the cause for pediatric Medical Marijuana-talk about a high-impact player!

As a valiant member of the Valkyrie Division, West faced off against formidable foes like West Syndrome and Dravet Syndrome. But like any superhero, she always got back up, stronger and more determined, showing those challenges they picked the wrong girl to mess with. Her resilience was nothing short of legendary; she was Life Starred more times than we can count and always bounced back ready for more.

In her sanctuary at home, West connected with the spiritual world, finding kinship with hummingbirds and dragonflies. She had the uncanny ability to send out "West HUGs" that could heal the soul, proving that her superpowers extended far beyond her physical presence.

As the charismatic CEO of Team Tarricone, West led with a blend of empathy and determination that inspired everyone around her to reach new heights.

To celebrate the one-of-a-kind, zestful West, a shindig fit for a queen will be held on June 2, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (lingering is encouraged) at Holiday Hill Day Camp, 41 Chaffeeville Road, Mansfield Center, CT 06250. The officiant will begin the ceremony at 1:17 pm. There will be a moment of silence at 4:19 pm. It'll be a party with all the Westy flair!

The medical journey is very long and expensive. A beautiful towel or blanket, some toiletries, or even a DoorDash card would make a parent so happy.
