Wayne Henri Jr

Wayne R. Henri Jr., 31 of Scotland passed away Friday May 21st, 2010 due to injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Born October 23, 1978 in Putnam CT, Wayne was a 1997 graduate of Windham Technical School and was employed as a machinist at Westminster Tool since the age of 16. Wayne was a selfless, giving person who was passionate about life, having fun, friends, and most important to him more than anything in the world was his family. Wayne was very talented in his career, loved to ride motorcycles, kayak, and was an amateur brewmaster who was loved by so many. Wayne leaves behind his parents Wayne and Lela (Penrod) Henri of Hampton, best friend and brother Allen and wife Stacy Henri of North Windham, grandmother Edith Penrod of Hampton, aunt and Godmother Laurian Chandler and husband Bill, uncle and Godfather Dennis Henri and wife Sandy of Canton, NY, and aunts and uncles Clone and Janis Penrod of Norwich, James and Judy Penrod of FL, Denise and Ernesto Patron of CA, Ted and Cheryl Penrod of Hampton, and Joyce and Earl Davis of Columbia. Wayne will sadly be missed by many loving friends, and cousins, especially Dean and Kelley Sypher whom he grew up with. Wayne also leaves behind his second family at Westminster Tool including his boss and cousins Raymond Coombs Jr. and Sherry Appleton. Wayne was predeceased by his grandfather Clone Penrod Sr, grandparents Laurier and Mildred Henri, and aunts Donna Coombs and Arlene Logan. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be in South Cemetery, Rte. 169 in Brooklyn on Saturday May 29th, 2010 at 12:00pm with a gathering of friends and family at the Elks Club on Pleasant St. in Willimantic immediately following.
