Wayne P. Emack

Wayne P. Emack, 72, of Willimantic, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Born December 6, 1940 in Houlton Maine he was the son of the late Perley and Flora Emack. Wayne worked as an electrician at Brand Rex in Willimantic for 40 years where he made many friends. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and UCONN Huskies basketball. Wayne enjoyed hiking at Queechee Gorge and his annual trips to the Big E. He also enjoyed spending time with his beloved cats Gabby, Buster, Babe & Boo. He leaves behind his loving companion of many years Linda Robert, and his three daughters and their husbands, Bonnie and Charlie Pitts, Cheryl and Tony Crotty and Karen and Shawn Hardegen. Wayne also leaves behind his grandchildren, Brian and Kaitlyn Pitts, Jonathan, Joshua and wife Andreea and Alex Crotty and Adam and Nick Hardegen. His family will receive friends Friday July 19, 2013 between 5:00 and 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 10:00am in Storrs Cemetery, North Eagleville Rd., Storrs. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to FOMAS, P.O. Box 95, Mansfield Center, CT 06250.
