Ward Cameron James, 43, of Ashford, husband of Margaret (Provenzano) James, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the Windham Hospital. He was born January 26, 1962 in Hartford, the son of Gerald and Geraldine (Hall) James of Storrs and had lived in Ashford for the past 12 years. He was a member of the Westford Congregational Church and Committee Chairman of Boy Scouts of America, Pack 12. He was a former member of the Mansfield Volunteer Fire Department and had worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Retardation for the past 16 years. In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by 3 children, Joshua Cameron James, Cara Evelyn James and Luke Anthony James, all at home, 2 brothers, Keith James of New Haven, Doug James of Storrs, 2 sisters, Janice Williamson of Chaplin, Kim James of New London and 2 nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday August 27, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Westford Congregational Church, 368 Westford Hill Rd. in the Westford section of Ashford. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
