Walter E. Zaklukiewicz, 90, of Winter Park, Florida, formerly of Willimantic, died Thursday Aug. 28, 2003 at home. He was born Dec. 14, 1912 in Willimantic the son of Joseph and Caroline (Serwanski) Zaklukiewicz. He had been employed by Roslin Manufacturing in Willimantic for many years. Walter was a longtime member of the Willimantic Elks Lodge #1311 and a former member of the Pulaski-American Citizens Club. He had a great love for playing golf and bicycle riding. He was predeceased by his wife Cecelia (Wojnar) Zaklukiewicz. He is survived by a son Roger Zaklukiewicz of Manchester, a daughter Nancy Lefco of Dennisport, MA., a brother Peter Zaklukiewicz of Willimantic, 3 sisters; Mary Johnson of Middletown and Lena Zaklukiewicz and Anne Vincent both of Alexandria, VA., 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:15am prior to his 10:00 Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, his family has suggested memorial donations to Hospice of the Comforter, 595 Montgomery Rd., Altamonte Springs, FL. 32714-3125.
