Walter Storrs

WILLIMANTIC - Walter E. Storrs, 85, of Willimantic, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Haven Health Center, Willimantic. He was born June 29, 1922 to Stedman Lucy (Payne) Storrs, who predeceased him. On December 27, 1981 he married Doris L. Booterbaugh Storrs who survives him. He is also survived by three children, Lucy Bojsiuk and husband Steve of Pinebush, NY, Thomas Storrs of Mansfield and Stedman Storrs of Canterbury; eight stepchildren, Marie H. Warrender (Robert) of Brooklyn,. Betty Cote (Paul) of Florida, Charles Nearhoof (Mary) of Pennsylvania, Patti Miner (Jim) of RI, Debbie Weaver of PA, Terry Nearhoof of CT, Ira Booterbaugh (Nancy) of AZ, Francis Booterbaugh, Jr of PA. He is also survived by a brother, Francis Storrs of NC; three grandchildren, Martha Huff of NY, Jesse (Jacque) Huff of NY, and Matthew Bojsiuk of NY; 13 step grandchildren; 23 step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Richard and one stepdaughter, Shirley. At the request of Walter, there are no calling hours. Graveside service will be Tuesday at 11am, June 17, 2008 at Mansfield Center Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Schneider officiating.
