Walter A. Kosiba, 81, of Willimantic, husband of the late Rose (Morelli) Kosiba, died Monday August 23, 2004 at Haven Health Center in Jewett City. He was born October 21, 1922 in Willimantic, the son of Joseph and Kathryn Kosiba and had lived in Willimantic all his life. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Walter was employed as a cook at various area diners and at Eastern CT State University and UConn. He later was employed as a clerk at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and retired from Hamilton Standard. He is survived by 2 daughters, Judith Desrosiers of Pawtucket, RI, Barbara Sindelar of Willimantic, 3 sisters, Betty Gaulin of Manchester, Vi Menditto of Willimantic and Steffa Kaszowski of Willimantic, 4 grandchildren, Christina and Melanie Desrosiers, Eric and Joseph Sindelar, many nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. prior to the procession to his Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Willimantic. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
