Walter H. Hoyt

Walter H. Hoyt, 57, of Puddin La., Mansfield, husband of Sandra Hoyt, died Friday Jan. 18, 2002 at the Windham Hospital. He was born Nov. 30, 1944 in Bridgeton, Maine the son of Ruth (Martikainen) Hoyt of Willimantic and the late Walter Hoyt. In 1986 he started a business with his son Scott and his wife Sandra ,known as Scott s Excavating, in N. Windham. Due to illness, he retired in 1994, however he continued to assist his family in the operation of the business. He was devoted to his grandchildren Colleen and Corrie Hoyt of Lebanon. In addition to his wife, mother and grandchildren he is also survived by 2 sons Scott and his wife Lisa of Lebanon and Jeffrey of Hanover and a sister Janice Johnson of Houston, TX. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be private in the Mansfield Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial donations to the Dialysis Unit of Rockville Hospital at Windham, 375C Tuckie Rd., N. Windham, Ct. 06256.
