Walter Berg Hamerstrom

Walter B. Hamerstrom, 56, of Willimantic, formerly a resident of Chaplin for 35 years, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at his home. He was born May 1, 1955 in Virginia, the son of Claire (Lambert) of Willimantic and the late Walter Hamerstrom. He was a graduate of RHAM High School and received his journeyman's papers from Prince Technical School. He was a machinist and tool and die worker and was employed at Brand-Rex in Willimantic and Russell Harrington in Massachusetts. In addition to his mother he is survived by his brother John and sisters, Dorothy and Dianna, his two nieces, Patricia Sarah and their families. Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours.
