Vivien L. Hemingway, 57, of Scotland, wife of Robert Hemingway, died Tuesday June 1, 2004 in Colchester. She was born November 25, 1946 in Willimantic, the daughter of the late Percy and Ruth (Slater) Segar and had lived in the Windham area all her life. She was employed as an office manager for 19 years for Ives Brothers Oil Company of Willimantic and most recently by Distinctive Landscaping of Columbia. She was truly loved by both her employers. Vivien and her husband were avid boaters and enjoyed many outings on the ocean and Long Island Sound. She was dedicated to her family and grandchildren. In addition to her husband she is survived by 2 children, Brenda Landry of Lebanon and Alan Ouellette of Columbia, 3 stepchildren, a brother, Roger Earl Segar of TN, a sister, Beverly Young of Mansfield, 4 grandchildren, Caleb, Casey, Corin Landry of Lebanon, Allan Niskanen of Scotland, her goddaughter Jennifer Galipeau of Moosup, several nieces including Paula Maddaloni of Moosup, nephews, an aunt and many friends. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Joyce Havens and Sandra Irwin and a brother, Glenn Segar. A memorial service will be held Monday June 7, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the Christian Fellowship, Rte. 97, Scotland. There are no calling hours.
