Virginia Ginny Grenier

March 2, 1924 — April 8, 2003

Virginia M. "Ginny" (Scott) Grenier, 79, of Hampton, died Tuesday April 8, 2003 at the Windham Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 2, 1924 in Hampton the daughter of John and Mary (Whitaker) Scott and was a lifelong resident. For many years she worked at the Parish Hill High School and at the Super Stop & Shop in Willimantic. Ginny was a great lover of animals, especially her dog Shep. She is survived by her two daughters; Linda Lopez of Providence, R.I., and Julia Grenier of Hampton, a son John F. Grenier of Hampton, a granddaughter Jackie Lopez of Providence , a great grandson Nigel Lopez of Providence, a brother Herbert Scott of Abington, several nieces and nephews and her husband John H. Grenier. She was predeceased by a daughter Dale Grenier. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 2:30pm in the South Cemetery, Hampton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to the Dana- Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA. 02445-7226, ATTN: Contribution Services.
