Virginia (Landon) Arnold

Virginia (Landon) Arnold, 88, of Windham Center, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2016. Virginia was predeceased by her beloved husband Mason Arnold. She was born on September 13, 1928 in Willimantic, to Floyd and Marion (Burdick) Landon of Chaplin. Virginia was a resident of Windham Center for fifty eight years. She was a member of Chaplin Congregational Church and Windham Center Congregational Church participating as a Sunday School Teacher. Virginia was an active participant at her children?s schools. She will always be remembered for her generosity, attentiveness, kind heartedness and devotion to all her family and friends. Virginia is survived by her three children Greg Arnold and his wife Mary Beth of Goshen, Colleen White of Pomfret Center, and Brian White and Tina Arnold of Wakefield RI and Rick Fiddler; five grandchildren Kurt Czepizak and his wife Sarah, Lauren Dodge and her husband Wess, Justin White, Sarah Braun and her husband Josh and Thomas Arnold; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Alice Musial, Fern LeGault and her husband John, Peggy Hanson and her husband Herb; and brother Walter Landon and his wife Judy; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Howard Landon, Gordon Landon, Wilbur Landon, Ken Landon and Verna Erickson. At Virginia?s request, there are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Thursday October 13, 2016 at 1:00pm at the New Willimantic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to an Animal Rescue organization of your choice.
