Violet (Lariviere) King, 86, formerly of Columbia, widow of S. William Soracchi, died Wednesday April 7, 2004 at the Masonic Health Care Center in Wallingford. She was born June 27, 1917 in Willimantic the daughter of Roderick and Regina (St. George) Lariviere. Mrs. King was a communicant of St. Columba Church in Columbia. She is survived by her daughter Joyce (Moran) Lyles and her husband Butch of Southington, her son T. Kenneth Moran and his wife Mary Lou of Carle Place, N.Y., a sister Lorraine Picotte of Manchester, 7 grandchildren; Lisa, Kenneth, Eric, David, Andrew, Amy and T.J. and 2 great grandchildren, Kyle and Julie. She was predeceased by a grandson Eric. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday April 15th at 10:30am at St. Columba Church, intersection of Rte 66 and Rte 87, Columbia. Burial will follow in the West St. Cemetery, Columbia. Her family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 to 10:30 prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to Hospice and Palliative Care of Ct. VNA by Masonicare, 33 North Plains Industrial Rd., Wallingford, Ct. 06492.
