Violet E. Chesbro

Violet E. Chesbro, 84, of Franklin, widow of Harry P. Chesbro, died Friday August 15, 2003 in Norwichtown. She was born November 4, 1918 in Brooklyn, CT and had lived in Scotland and Franklin most of her life. Prior to her retirement in 1983 she was employed for 20 years as an occupational therapy aide at the former Norwich State Hospital. Violet was a member of the Franklin Congregational Church and a 50 year member of the Grange. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Harry and Nancy Chesbro of Middletown, a daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Paul Garabedian of Willimantic, 4 grandchildren, James Chesbro and his wife Rebecca of Cape Cod, Tracy and her husband Matt Quinn of Meriden, Robert Garabedian and his wife Michelle of Windham, Aleah Garabedian of Willimantic, 3 great grandchildren, Jack Chesbro, Ethan Garabedian and Leslie Garabedian. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. Burial will follow in the New Willimantic Cemetery.
