Victoria Postemsky

Victoria (Morytko) Postemsky, died peacefully at her home in North Windham on Aug. 28, 2012 at the age of 87. She was born in Willimantic on May 27, 1925 to Michael and Mary (Gula) Morytko. Victoria married Joseph Postemsky and Nov. 6, 1948 in Willimantic. She worked at UConn in the Dept. of Career Services for many years prior to retirement. Her husband Joseph died June 19, 1968, leaving Victoria with four sons that she devoted her life to raising, Joseph, William, Richard and Paul. Victoria loved reading, gardening, crossword puzzles, traveling and most of all being surrounded by her loving family. She is survived, to celebrate her life, by sons Joseph and his wife Yvonne, William and his wife Cynthia, Richard and his wife Laurie and Paul; grandchildren, Jessica (Postemsky) Dugan and her husband Daniel, Diana, Stephen, Eric, Joseph and Michael Postemsky and a great grandson Connor Jameson Dugan. She is also survived by a sister Mildred "Millie" Lucas and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Joseph, Sophie Breault, Stanley, Adele Breault, Emil and John Morytko. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday Aug. 30th between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic with assembly in the church parking area at 9:45am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic,CT 06226.
