Victor W. Olson, 84, of Mansfield Center, husband of Anna (Verbosky) Olson, died Wednesday,September 12, 2001 in Willimantic. He was born October 6, 1916 in Willimantic, the son of Carl and Pattie (Monroe) Olson and was a lifelong area resident. He was a life member of the Allied Painter s Union #11, a life member of the Fin, Fur and Feather Club of Chaplin and an avid sportsman and fisherman. Mr. Olson served as past governor of the Loyal Order of Moose, #1440. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 step-children, Carole Larned of Willimantic, Henry R. Suchy of Stonington, a sister, Lena Nilsson of Groton, 5 grandchildren, Sherry, Thomas and Robert Larned, Mark and Eric Suchy, 2 great grandchildren, Marissa and James Larned, several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the New Willimantic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary Church Repair Fund, 80 Maple Ave. Willimantic, CT 06226 or to the Arthritis Foundation, 35 Cold Spring Rd., Suite 411, Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3166.
