Vera (Garrison) Guay Eremita, 79, of Chaplin, wife of the late Albert Guay Sr. and Joseph Eremita, died Tuesday March 30, 2004 in Windham. She was born October 31, 1924 in Willimantic, the daughter of David and Lucille (Hammond) Garrison and had lived in Chaplin all her life. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the V.F.W., the Chaplin Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and the Chaplin Seniors. She was a loving mother to her six children. She is survived by 4 children and their spouses, Steven and Paula Guay of Chaplin, Donna and Joseph Curreri of Massachusetts, Linda and Andy Baker of Chaplin, Patricia Guay-Richards and her husband Michael of Willimantic, six siblings, Lee Garrison, John Garrison, June Nadile, Beth Cahil, Millie Garrison and Lucille Insalaco, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 sons, David Guay and Albert Guay Jr., Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
