V. Ruth Hills

V. Ruth Hills, 89, of Hebron, wife of William Hills, died Friday February 13, 2004 at the Windham Hospital. She was born May 8, 1914 in Burnsville, NC, the daughter of Euphrates and Rose McCourry and had lived in Hebron most of her life. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a teacher at RHAM High School in Hebron for many years. In addition to her husband of more than 60 years she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Rosemary Hills of Vernon, 3 grandchildren, Alisa, Kathleen and Michael, 2 brothers and a sister in North Carolina, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services and burial will be in Burnsville, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 238 West Main St. Norwich, CT 06360.
