Thomas Wilkinson Obituary
Thomas Wilkinson, 77, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a courageous fight with cancer. Tom was born on February 10, 1942 in Finley Lake, NY to Jenny and Maurice Wilkinson. Tom had two brothers, Gordon and Kenneth Wilkinson. Tom had several successful careers including serving in the Navy, working for the town of Manchester and for Capitol Sweepers. Tom put his all into everything that crossed his path.
Tom embraced his journey and spent much of the last few years enjoying life and surrounding himself with friends and family. People would say he’s funny, compassionate and puts others before himself. His family would say he was an avid shopper and loved shopping for clothes. He was quite dapper. He would say the “Legion and VFW Crew” were friends who became family. Tom had many fond memories with his family at the club.
Tom is survived by his sons Robert Wilkinson and Mike Shaia, daughter Linda Shaia and many other significant family members to include uncles, aunts, cousins and grandchildren. Tom was loved by many and will be missed by all.
