Thomas Valone Obituary
Thomas P. Valone, 77, of Windham, CT passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Tom was born in Willimantic on May 8, 1944 to Philip and Helen (Curran) Valone. He was a long-time member of the Willimantic Country Club, The Willimantic Elks and the Irish Club. He was a well-known volunteer for Special Olympics and the Covenant Soup Kitchen, as well as a multi-gallon blood donor for the American Red Cross. Tom spent his career in accounting working for American Thread, Windham Hospital and Manchester Hospital, TVCCA, and the Town of Lebanon.
Tom skied throughout the country, when the snow melted, hit the golf course until the snow fell again. He enjoyed his time with friends, family, and making his great nieces giggle with laughter. His laughter and smile will be missed by many.
He leaves behind his brother John “Jack” and his wife Carol, sister Kathleen, nieces Alison and Tricia Valone, and great nieces Fiona, Taiden, Emersyn, and Quinn, as well as a host of many friends that were like family.
Tom’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT. His Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 1:00pm at St. Joseph’s Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic with a luncheon to follow at the Willimantic Country Club, Club Rd., Windham.
