Thomas A. Marrotte, 51, of Windham Center, husband of Robin (Cavanaugh) Marrotte, father of Paul Thomas Marrotte, died December 17, 2001 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 28, 1950 in Willimantic, the son of Andre and Maryann "Marie" Marrotte of Willimantic. He was a graduate of Windham High School and served with the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a steelworker and maintenance mechanic most recently employed by the Norwich Department of Public Utilities. In addition to his wife, son and parents, he is survived by his sister, Christine Sloan her husband Ralph and their daughter Lauren of Brewster, NY, his brother Steven Marrotte and his wife Sharon of Columbia, his brother John R. Marrotte and his wife Elayne and their children, Lindsey and Alexander of Windham, his maternal grandmother Ethel (Syzdek) Pinkiewicz of Daytona Beach, FL, many cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Henry Marrotte in 1964. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte.195) Willimantic on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral procession will begin on Friday at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to the celebration of his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Willimantic.
