Therese Marrotte Howlett, of Columbia, born to Ida (Cloutier) and Joseph Marrotte in Willimantic Connecticut, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on December 8th. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Clifford E. Howlett; by her daughter Alene and her husband Mac Toedt of Columbia; her son William Howlett of Chaplin, her grandson John and his wife Kathleen Toedt of Columbia, her granddaughter Marnie Faupel of Columbia, and her grandson Ryan Howlett of Ashford. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; Alex and Brieanna Toedt, Mariah and Noah Howlett. Therese was predeceased by her favorite grandson-in-law Mark Faupel. Therese is survied by her brother John Marrotte of Hankins, New York and was predeceased by her brothers Gerard and Albert Marrotte, and her sister Jeannette Santa Lucia all of Willimantic. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Therese was a cherished wife, loving mother, and special loving grandmother and great grandmother. Therese will be greatly missed and all will remember the great cookies she kept on hand for the children who often stopped by her home. Therese worked in various positions in and around Willimantic. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Therese's memory to St Charles Children's Home, where her niece, Reverend Mother Paul Marie, is the superior of the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Healing Love, and administrator for thirty-two years helping abused children; St Charles Children's Home, 19 Grant St., Rochester, NH 03867. There are no calling hours. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday Dec. 10th at 10:30am at The Church of The Holy Family, 185 Church St.( Rte. 85) Hebron.
