Theodore B. Pierce Jr., 51, of Mansfield, husband of Diane (Bernard) Pierce, died Saturday, September 28, 2002 at Hartford Hospital. He was born June 19, 1951 in Manchester, the son of Theodore and Kathleen (McNamara) Pierce Sr. of Coventry and had lived in Mansfield for the past 25 years. He was employed for many years at the former Brand Rex Co. in Willimantic and most recently at the U. S. Post Office in Coventry. He was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Coventry and a former member and past president of the Coventry Jaycees. Mr. Pierce is also a member of Friendship Lodge #145 A.F. & A.M. and Temple Chapter #53 O.E.S., both in Manchester. In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by a son Eric Pierce at home, a brother and sister-in-law, David and Karen Pierce of Coventry, a sister, Laurel Montiel of Coventry, 3 nieces and 2 nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Masonic ritual at 7:30 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 1600 Main St. Coventry with assembly at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Coventry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 238 West Town St. Norwich, CT 06360 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
