Theodore (“Teddy”) Hawes, 40, of Manchester passed away on April 7, 2024, at Hartford Hospital. He was born on July 25,1983 in Hartford, to David Hawes and the late Patrice (Tavernier) Hawes. He graduated from Windham High School in 2002. He moved from Windham to Manchester in 2009, where he resided for 15 years.
He enjoyed country gospel music and was a bit of a “techie,” spending most of his time enjoying his electronics. He will be most remembered for his incredible wit, sense of humor and phenomenal memory.
Teddy is survived by his father and stepmother, David and Cathy Hawes of Manchester; his brother Charles Hawes of North Windham, his niece, Arya Hawes of North Windham; as well as his many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Margaret (Hanko) Hawes of Windham Center; his maternal grandparents, Earl and Lorraine (Peters) Tavernier of Moosup and Windham.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 17, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, Willimantic, CT, immediately followed by a Christian burial at the Windham Center Cemetery.
