Theodore G. Benoit, 82, of Coventry, passed away June 23, 2026 after fighting a long illness. He was born in Hartford, CT on November 13, 1943 to the late Earl and Loretta (Richard) Benoit.

Ted joined the Army May 25, 1965 and served two years in Vietnam. His passion was volunteering and becoming a fourth-degree member in the Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of the VFW. Ted was known to be one of the best auto body technicians in Connecticut. He was married to his late wife, Patricia Benoit for 58 years.

Ted is survived by two sons, Kyle Benoit and his fiancé Julie, and Scott Benoit; grandchildren, Stacia, Colin, Javan, Eli, and Asia; and a great grandchild, Noah. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 11:00am at Storrs Cemetery, on North Eagleville Rd. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Veterans of Connecticut.
