Theodor Thun

Theodor Thun, 84, of Willimantic, a loving father and grandfather, husband of the late Ingeborg Thun, died Saturday Aug. 7, 2004 at his home. He was born in Helschen, Germany. Mr. Thun served in World War II and was a prisoner of war for 2 years. He came to the United States in 1958 with his family. Retiring in 1984, he had been employed by the American Thread Co. for 25 years. He is survived by a son Klaus Peter Thun of Willimantic, a daughter and son in law, Ingrid and Hector Vega of Willimantic and 5 grandchildren, Benita Thun, Hector Vega Jr., Duncan Thun, Laura Carpenter and Cindy Lou Holleman. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by a procession to the New Willimantic Cemetery for an 11:30am graveside service.
