Thanh Kim Lam, 52, of Mansfield, husband of Sonia (Virola) Lam, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was born December 29, 1954 in Vietnam, the son of Phan Lam of Vietnam and the late Hanh Thi Luu. He lived in Hartford for 11 years before moving to Mansfield in 1992. He was employed at General Cable in Willimantic as a machine operator for the past 15 years. Thanh enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends. He was a friendly, open hearted and helpful person to all who knew him. In addition to his wife and father he is survived by 4 children, Elizabeth Lam, Jaquelyn Lam, Kim Lam and Moises Lam, all at home, 7 siblings in Vietnam, his uncle Mai Luu in East Hartford, an aunt, Lien, 3 cousins, Ho Phan, Hi Phan and Hung Phan, many nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Rte. 195, Willimantic on Sunday from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Mansfield Center Cemetery, Cemetery Rd., Mansfield.
