Terri Marie (Stygar) Lewis, 45, of Chaplin, wife of Rodney A. Lewis, passed away on Friday Dec. 31, 2004 at the W.W. Backus Hospital, Norwich. She was born Jan. 9, 1959 in Willimantic the daughter of Anita (Delorme) Stygar and the late Henry J. Stygar. Terri had been employed at Windham Mills as Office Manager. She enjoyed gardening and held a degree as a master gardener. Terri participated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Willimantic for the last 5 years. She is survived by her husband Rodney A. Lewis, her daughter Ashley Helene Lewis of Chaplin, her mother and second dad Anita Stygar and Wayne Tewksbury of Rockfall, a stepson Joey Lewis of Chaplin, a stepdaughter Jessica Lewis of Mansfield, her second mom Mary Ann Stygar (widow of Henry Stygar) of Coventry, 3 half brothers, Glen Stygar of N.C., James Stygar of MA. and Joey Stygar of N.C.; a half sister Kelly Stygar of Willimantic, a large extended family and her many loyal friends. Everyone who knew her benefited from her love of life, great spirit and kindness. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00am with the funeral service beginning at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Grant Hill Cemetery, Coventry.
