Teotis "Tee" E. Segar, 88, of Windham died on Wednesday September 24, 2014 at St. Joseph Living Center. She was born in Willimantic on September 22, 1926, the daughter of Police Chief Grant Bombria and Alice L. Bombria. In 1948, she married John A. Segar and with him began a life centered around family and friends. She will be remembered by her family as a great mother whose children were her main existence. Her many friends will remember her as a warm and gentle presence, a devoted friend who truly cared about other people. Tee loved gardening and flowers, baking and stamping, jigsaw and crossword puzzles. But her main love was being with family and friends, telling and listening to stories of peoples' activities and especially laughing about her husband and family's exploits. She loved cooking and teaching others to cook. She loved and taught others to love. Tee was a parishioner of Saint Joseph's Church. Faith was an important part of her life and she shared it willingly as a caregiver to so many. Those who spent time with her always knew that she would listen without judgment and care unconditionally. Tee was predeceased by her husband John, her sister Martha and her brother Henry. She leaves her sons John and his fiancAC.e Christine Murphy, James and his wife Tona, Thomas and his wife Julie, her brother Grant "Amos" Bombria and her sisters Alice and Peg Bombria. She also leaves four grandchildren Jennifer, Jessica, Holly and Jonathon, five great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews whom she spent many happy times with. Her family will receive family and friends on Monday September 29, 2014 at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday September 30, 2014 at 10:30am at Windham Center Cemetery.
