Sylvia L. Smith

Sylvia (Adams) Smith, 87, of Park St. Willimantic, widow of Harlow Smith, died Monday morning Dec. 17, 2001 at the Windham Hospital. She was born April 26, 1914 in Windham the daughter of Henry ad Katherine (Kennedy) Adams. She was a former school teacher in the area and was a member of St. Paul?s Episcopal Church in Willimantic. Sylvia enjoyed staying at home to care for all of the children in her family. She is survived by a son Horace Smith of E. Lansing, Michigan, 2 daughters Cynthia Ridder of Ionia, Michigan, and Charlene-Ann Smith of Newington, a granddaughter Tiffany Bill of Windham, a great granddaughter Cathlene Dubreuil of Windham, a niece Caryl Chowanec-Serwanski and her husband Rick Serwanski of Windham and a nephew William Lang of Lebanon. She was predeceased by a daughter Catherine Smith Bill. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. A graveside service will be held on FRIDAY at 1:30pm in the Windham Center Cemetery, Rte 203, Windham.
