Susan Carol Jurczak

Susan Carol Jurczak, of Mansfield, died December 30, 2010 at the age of 51. Beloved wife of Russell Sampson, Susan will be remembered and loved by all who knew her. Her professional life was devoted to helping the ill and the disabled. As an occupational therapist in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada her attention and care was focused on those with dementia. Susan's final years in Connecticut were spent pursuing a Master's degree. Her thesis concentrated on the design of long-term care settings that would promote family interaction. Susan is also survived by her brother David and her parents Joseph and Elaine. Her family will receive friends at Eastern Connecticut State University on January 21st from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in room 301 of the New Science Building. A memorial service will be held in Canada at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
