Susan Willet Gage

Susan Willet Gage, of Middletown and Woodstock, passed away on November 8, 2025. She was born in Willimantic, the daughter of Donald and Juliet Willet.

Sue graduated from Windham High School and the University of Connecticut. After a long career in the insurance industry, she earned her master’s degree in counseling and began a second career as a school counselor, retiring from Mark T. Sheehan High School in Wallingford.

Sue’s favorite place was Crystal Pond in Woodstock, where she spent her summers at the family cottage. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bob, on many Natural Habitat excursions.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Gage; stepchildren, Christine Gage Boice (Chaz) of Princeton, NJ and Dan Gage (Kate) of Chester Springs, PA; grandchildren, Emma Boice of Princeton, NJ, and Zoey and Cole Gage of Chester Springs, PA; her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Howard Korsu; and her nephew, Adam Shaw.

A celebration of life will be held next summer at Crystal Pond. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a memorial donation in Susan’s name to the Congregational Church of Eastford or the World Wildlife Fund.
