Sue Chase

Sue Frankel Chase, age 106, passed away peacefully at her daughters home, on Monday, March 2nd 2015. Born in Manhattan, the daughter of Abraham and Dora (Obstgarten). Sue moved to Willimantic, CT with her husband, Dr. William Chase, DDS in 1937. She was an active member of B'Nai Israel in Willimantic, participating in the Hadassah and past president of the Sisterhood. Sue had a wonderful singing voice and sang in many community events. She had many other talents and skills; Sue supported her husband's practice thru her secretarial and bookkeeping skills. She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, cooking, baking, gardening and entertaining. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William Chase, DDS. She was admired by her 3 children who survive her: David Chase, DDS and his wife Leona from Willimantic, Wendy Chase from West Haven, CT and Carolee Hart of Milford, CT. Sue also leaves behind 2 grandchildren: Michael Chase, PHD and his wife Chris, their 2 daughters Laura and Hannah, living in Derwood, MD; Alisa Hart Avey and her three children: Chase Hodgdon, Zoey and Sasha Avey from Boulder Creek, CA.
