Steven Mocek Obituary
This is the final call for fellow trucker Steve “Mosley” Mocek, who was taken from us last night, far too soon. He was a great friend and mentor. He will truly be missed.
Steven “Mosley” Michael Mocek, 39, passed away at home from a heart attack on June 19, 2024. He lived in Chaplin in whole life. Steven graduated from Parrish Hill High and from Netts Tractor School with a CDL Class A license.
He worked a short time at Walmart, M&J Bus, and Ashford Transportation Dept., drove OTR for Steven’s Transportation out of Dallas, TX, and was currently driving for BJ’s Distribution Center in Rocky Hill, CT.
Steven was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed watching extreme boxing; occasionally placing a bet on his favorite team or person.
He is survived by his parents Walter W. and Cheryl L. (Orange) Mocek, brother Walter Scott Mocek, and a large extended family. Steven will be missed by many friends. He touched a lot of hearts. Steven – you were loved by many.
There are no calling hours. His memorial service will be held Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Seaside Beach in Waterford, CT. The time will be determined by the tide.

Mosley, you got your ears on?
Mosley, can I get a copy brotha?
He's parked his truck now, his engine has stopped.
And those who loved him, their hearts have dropped.
He travelled the land with a smile of great pride,
now he drives the street of heaven on the truckers last ride,
May your roads always be clear, rest in peace Buddy.
We got your loads covered from here.
