Steven G. Lizee, 54, of Windham, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend passed away tragically as the result of a motorcycle accident on July 13th, 2014. He was born Dec. 1, 1959 in Willimantic, CT. to Raymond Lizee and the late Sally Lizee. Steven graduated from Windham Technical High School in 1978. He had an early career at Rein's Deli and Yummy's Ice Cream in the mall where he met his wife Kimberlee of 35 years. He spent the last 36 years employed at Electric Boat. Starting as a shipfitter and climbing the ladder with his amazing determination and work ethic he spent his days as a Senior Advanced Planning Specialist. In his free time he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, working in his wood shop, brewing for his very own MC Microbrew, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Sally Sherman Lizee and brother Scott Lizee. Survivors include his wife Kimberlee Slater Lizee of Windham, daughter and son-in-law John and Jennifer Hammer of Manchester, son and daughter-in-law Justin and Lynette Lizee also of Manchester, his father Raymond Lizee and his wife Bernice of Willimantic, a sister Kim Godere of Lebanon, mother-in-law Beth Ann Slater of North Windham, 2 grand dogs, and 1 grand bird. His family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday July 17th between 5:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. A memorial service will be held Friday July 18th, 2014 at 11:00AM at First Congregational Church, 199 Valley St., Willimantic, CT.
